Meet the Author & Illustrator

Anne Pace is a former kindergarten teacher, certified literacy specialist, and mother of three young kids. She is passionate about social emotional learning and strives to teach children messages of kindness, caring, and perseverance through her writing.

Anne's journey into the world of children's literature began with a simple question from her curious children during a visit to the flamingo exhibit at the Greensboro Science Center. Inspired by their observations and fueled by her own dreams, Anne's imagination took flight, giving birth to the lovable character of Bingo the Flamingo.

Anne's special bond with her own mother, who serves as the illustrator of the book, adds an extra layer of love and sentiment to this cherished mother-daughter collaboration. Through their joint efforts, Anne and her mother have created a timeless story that will captivate readers of all ages and inspire them to follow their dreams, no matter where life may lead.
